Quezon I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (QUEZELCO I) is committed to delivering safe, reliable, and efficient electric service. In line with this commitment, all Personal Data that you provide in relation to your application for electric service connection shall be collected, processed, and safeguarded in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and other applicable laws and policies of the Cooperative.
QUEZELCO I shall collect, use, store, retain, and dispose of your Personal Data in a manner consistent with legal, regulatory, and operational requirements. We may disclose your Personal Data to authorized personnel, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, service providers, government agencies, and other third parties for legitimate purposes, including but not limited to the following:
Evaluation and processing of your application for electric service connection.
Inspection, verification, and assessment of service facilities and technical requirements;
Installation, testing, maintenance, and reading of electric kWh meters;
Billing, collection of payments, and account management;
Disconnection, reconnection, preventive maintenance, and other technical services;
Response to inquiries, complaints, disruptions, and customer service requests;
Compliance with statutory, regulatory, and reporting requirements of the NEA, ERC, LGUs, and other government agencies;
Conduct of surveys, research, service improvement initiatives, and statistical analysis to enhance service delivery;
Prevention, detection, and investigation of fraud, illegal activities, system losses, and unauthorized use of electricity; and
Other legitimate and lawful purposes necessary for the efficient and effective operations of QUEZELCO I.
Your Personal Data shall be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes stated above, or as required by applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Thereafter, such data shall be securely disposed of or anonymized in accordance with industry-accepted standards of security and confidentiality.
